Winter 2012-13 (Oct 2012-10 Mar 2013):
Boring = safe. This is his complete winter area.
Including the points to the east, he restricted
his movement over about 5 months to roughly 1
square mile (3 km^2). Excluding the forays out
to the east, he spent the whole winter in an
area of about 0.25 miles--160 acres! |

19-20 Mar 2013: Bones took off a day earlier
than last year and 6 days earlier than in 2011.
He's following the same route he's used in past
years. We see why in the next map. |

I just borrowed this from
last year's map pages. It's clearly the path of
least resistance--following valleys right down
to the Guajira Peninsula. |
